Who We Are

At Community of the Holy Spirit, our heart is simple: Love, Connect, Serve — Now.

We are a life-giving Christian community centered on the Gospel of the Kingdom of God, where people can experience authentic relationship with God and meaningful connection with others. We believe our love for God is best demonstrated in how we love people, and we are committed to building a church family where everyone can belong, grow and be supported in their faith journey.

Through anointed and enthusiastic worship, prayer, bible teachings and real relationships, we seek to connect people to Jesus and to one another. We believe life is lived best in community — where accountability, encouragement and spiritual growth happen together.

Following the example of Jesus, we serve God by serving others both inside and outside the four walls of our church. Whether meeting practical needs or offering spiritual support, we strive to serve generously and with gladness.

We believe God’s call is for right now. You don’t have to be perfect to come to God and you don’t have to be perfect to be used by Him. No matter your past, you are invited to experience His love and step into the purpose He has for your life today.

What We Believe

The Bible
We believe the Bible is inspired by God and is the true, trustworthy guide for our faith and life.

God
We believe there is one God who exists in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus is the Son of God. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross for our sins, rose from the dead, and ascended into heaven. One day He will return in power and glory and those who trust in Jesus will experience eternal life.

Salvation
We believe salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for us. Through the Holy Spirit, we are made new.

The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit lives within believers, empowering us to live godly lives and continue the mission of Jesus on earth.

The Church

We believe the Church is a community of believers in Jesus Christ. We are people who follow His teachings and trust Him as Lord and Savior.

MINISTRY LEADERS

  • Chris Fisher

    SENIOR PASTOR/MUSIC MINISTER

    Pastor Chris Fisher has been part of Community of the Holy Spirit for over 40 years.  He grew up in the church founded by his parents, Bishop Jim and Judy Fisher. From an early age, he developed a deep love for God’s presence and a passion to see lives transformed by Jesus.

    Chris first served as the worship leader at CHS, helping lead people into the presence of the living God who saves, restores, and heals. After the passing of his dad in 2008, Chris stepped into the role of Senior Pastor and continues to carry the heart of the church—to reach the hurting, the broken, and equipping believers to live out God’s Word, and see the Kingdom of God demonstrated in everyday life.

    Chris serves in ministry alongside his wife and Co-Pastor, Vicki. Together they have two children, Hannah and Noah, and four grandchildren: Jude, Kai, Ellie, and Tatum. Their greatest joy is serving God and loving people.

  • Vicki Fisher

    PASTOR/ELDER/ADMINISTRATOR

    I’ve been part of the Community of the Holy Spirit family for more than 4 decades. (WOW)   I truly love this church and the people in it. I serve alongside my husband, Pastor Chris, as his “help-mate” in life and in ministry. We’ve been married since 1993 and are the proud parents of Hannah and Noah. And our little dog, Phoebe.  

    I am "Nana" to 4 amazing grands... Jude, Kai, Ellie & Tatum.  

    At CHS I manage the church finances and handle administration dutiesv.  I lead several ministries, including Visitor Connections, Members Class (CHS Discovery), along with several Woman's groups and social events. 

    My greatest passion is sharing the Gospel with others and helping them understand how deeply God loves them. One of my favorite verses is Psalm 139:14: “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” And guess what?  YOU are fearfully and wonderfully made too!  Don't ever forget it!!

    CO-FOUNDER/ELDER

    As co-founder of Community of the Holy Spirit, it has been a joy and a privilege to watch God’s vision for our church come to life.   My husband and I founded the church in 1983.  Since then, I’ve had the blessing of serving our community through ministries like Hospitality, Prayer Shawl, GriefShare, and Intercessory Prayer.  It has been a delight to see our church family grow, both spiritually and in deep love for one another.

    I treasure our time in God’s presence through worship, prayer, and ministry, and it continues to nourish my own faith. Now in retirement, I focus on creating meaningful opportunities for others to connect with God—through retreats, day programs, and one-on-one ministry—as the Lord leads. Helping people encounter God and grow closer to Him is truly my heart’s desire, and I consider it a blessing to walk alongside our church family on this amazing journey.
